The readingroom is open on Tuesday to Saterday from 10.00 to 19.00. You can both bring and pick up books. Our collection has 25.000 titles. You can simply taken any book you like, no administration. You can bring it back later or you can keep it or give it to someone else. Everyday we have 5 newspaper in Dutch, Chinese and Turkish. We have computers and there is Wifi from our upstairs neighbour which you can use.

Mensen houden er werkbesprekingen, komen er rustig werken, of even een kopje koffie drinken en een krantje lezen. Daarnaast is de Leeszaal een plek waar van alles georganiseerd wordt of waar je van alles kunt organiseren. Er zijn taallessen. Een kinderprogramma. Het programma Puntkomma Muziek. Literaire maaltijden. Dichtersavonden. ZZP-ontbijten. Boekpresentaties en boekpreviews, debatten over laaggeletterheid, burgerparticipatie, en sociaal ondernemerschap; filmavonden en nog veel meer

Leeszaal West is a place where you can get books. You can read there or you can take the books home. You can also give books. This is very important because of the fact that taking books is free. Also you can enjoy multiple events that are organized for cultural goals. Readings, classes, workshops, etc.
